//ok the interview the above quote is from is actually really depressing where yuzu just talks about 3.11 (on its 3rd anniversary) and all the burden he's been carrying for the past few years, but let's pretend it's an optimistic quote mmkay? (& if you have no idea what i'm talking about then ok just move on)

anyways, this piece was kind of a stress reliever?? idk i just really wanted to draw the romeo & juliet outfit of his, from his sochi free program

i wanted to try out some new effects with watercolours, so i used masking fluid and went crazy with the drip effect on the background haha
it looks ok at the top but i think it just looks like trash towards the bottom; i wasn't able to blend the colours well

plus !! his outfit ended up being GREY instead of the pure pristine white it's supposed to be ugh i went a little overboard with shading...i just can't stand to leave white things white; i always add shading, but this time i did too much...

but i wasn't able to capture any of that (especially its lacy-sparkly detail orz) & i'm really upset about it ;u; maybe i'll try again someday with copics lol

on the other hand, i think this picture looks more like yuzu than the previous attempt of mine...! -> 
it's funny because for that one, i was more or less content with the colouring but unhappy with his appearance...and this time i'm happy with his appearance but unhappy with the colouring... orz

i think if i had to pick out something i really liked from this picture it's probably the flag i just like how the shading on that turned out; i kinda wasn't expecting it to look like this...i just dabbed on colours and it turned out better than i was hoping ;w;

anyways it's like 12:30 right and i should probably sleep ///////
